RIP Paul Davis

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Paul Davis. It was
Paul who first suggested that George IV should do solo church-based tours
back in the late eighties and he was the executive producer on many of
George's Gospel albums. Up till that point George had always toured with a
band and he had to get up the courage to face audiences all on his own.
Still, Paul was right and many thousands of people have enjoyed these solo
concerts who might otherwise never have seen George.

Paul wrote George's biography "Ambassador Of Country Music"which was
published by Harpercollins just over ten years ago and later came the story
of Pat Boone.

I often chatted to Paul on the phone when George IV tours were being planned
and I was lucky enough to be offered three slots in these tours over the
years.

Paul will be much missed on the Christian and Country Music scene and our thoughts go
out to Hazel and the rest of their family.
